Diversity and Inclusion
An Emergent Business Imperative
Training Design Overview
Diversity and Inclusion – an Emergent Business Imperative is a training program designed to reflect the national and global diversity of today’s organizational marketplace. While the importance of people diversity to organizational success may have once been a matter of debate, its emergent role in business success is undeniable in today’s global environment.
The program design rests on an interactive facilitative model involving engaging participant activities consistent with adult learning principles. Diversity and inclusion are defined, along with misperceptions, and a wide range of diversity dimensions including interpersonal style and culture are explored. The program’s perspective goes beyond race and gender to reflect the true scope of people diversity as a strategic organizational concern. A range of delivery approaches are employed including, individual and group exploratory activities, discussion, video, mini-lectures, and skill-building exercises.
